From the same bend at km 6, we will climb heading south, skirting a private property, and enter the forest of l’Obac dels Cortals. We will follow the camí d’Ensagents and, at the 2,010 m contour, we will come to a path junction and take the one on the right. We will climb gradually, pass through a clearing (private property) and then come to the junction with the camí de la Coma dels Llops. We will take it and continue along the summer path, gaining altitude very gradually through the forest until we cross the riu d’Ensagents, at 2,118 m. This spot is called the «pas de la Clau». We will continue southwest and after 400 m gradually turn left. On reaching the pleta de la Coma dels Llops, we will traverse across la Solana heading southeast (ahead of us we will see the couloirs of the vall de la Coma dels Llops and the serra del Meligar). Next, we will take the skins off our ski-touring skis, ski down to the former second, silted-up estany of the Coma dels Llops and then pass the former first estany, also silted up. These two lakes disappeared hundreds of years ago. Today, in these two basins in summer we find marshland and meanders. We will put the skins back on our skis to climb about 40 m of elevation until we rejoin the ascent path. From here, we will ski back down the same route. This route is also ideal for snowshoeing.
