From the bend in the road we will continue heading east, cross the riu de les Deveses and climb the first step heading south for about 200 m. Then we will turn left heading east and pass the second step to the pleta d’Emportona (2,330 m). We will enter the vall d’Emportona and, once past the estany del Meligar (2,470 m), climb a fairly steep slope to the top of the ridge. Then we will follow the ridge northeast to the pic Alt del Cubil (2,834 m). To reach the summit we will make a short scramble of little difficulty. Depending on the snow, crampons and an ice axe will be necessary.
