From the Grau Roig car park we will cross the chairlift departure area and head towards the restaurants. There are already signs there for the Grau Roig ski-touring circuits; we will follow the Montmalús one, which is marked with red and white painted poles. The climb begins gently inside the bosc dels Colells until we reach a flatter area, where we will turn right. Once we have passed a small step, we will be in the valley that leads directly to the collada de Montmalús. On this stretch, depending on snow conditions, ski crampons may be necessary. From the col we will descend the south slope until the terrain eases, at approximately the 2,600 contour, and from here we will turn west and look for a small col that will be on our right-hand side along the most obvious route. We will climb up to the small col, and from there descend the couloir to the circ dels Pessons.
