From the village of Ransol we will take the carretera de la Coma until we reach the pont de Mos, where we will continue along the road on the left until we find snow. From the end of the road, at 1,953 m, we will cross the bridge (picnic area) and enter the bosc de l'Hostal del Poll heading east. After about 200 m, we will reach the top of the clearing, where we will find the summer path, and follow it northwest. We will cross the riu de Jan, climb the gentle slopes on the left and, after about 150 m, cross it again. After the flats, we will continue north, making use of a well-marked gully that will stay on our left. At the 2,330 m contour, we will leave the couloir to the left to ascend the long, steep slope of the pic de la Pala de Jan (2,778 m). On this last stretch, ski crampons or an ice axe and crampons may be necessary depending on snow conditions.
