We'll take the track that leaves the Sorteny parking lot to the refuge and from there we'll go straight ahead (in the E direction), looking for the best way through the forest. We will continue along the right (north) bank of the river of the Onion, gaining elevation in the forest, where it is more open. Here you will have to be careful if there is a considerable recent snow thickness, since the slope is pronounced in some sections (greater than 30°) and we are in trap terrain. Once we've crossed this cleared forest, the slope smooths out considerably and we'll continue up towards the lower reaches of the Onion. From here, the Gate keeps us in a straight line for a fairly smooth slope except for the last section.. We'll ride the lowlands along its northern bank, and we'll go forward at the foot of the southern slopes of the Sierra de la Cebola until we reach the Portella. At this point, we'll have to take off our skis and climb with a chicken and a clamp up the simple ridge that will take us to the top.. The descent is done on the same route
